Our approach
EIKYA is preparing an India-first publication on news, technology, culture and the wider world. This policy describes the standards we intend to use as reporting begins. We will update it as our process develops.
Choosing and checking stories
We choose subjects for their relevance to readers, not simply because they are trending. Before publishing a factual claim, we aim to trace it to a primary source where possible, check its date and context, and compare independent accounts. A social post is a lead, not proof by itself. If evidence is incomplete, we will say so or hold the story.
Sources, attribution and rights
We identify or link to original sources and credit reporting by others. We will not present a rewritten article as our own reporting. Quotes and third-party images must have permission or a valid basis for use. We distinguish fact, analysis and opinion.
AI and editorial responsibility
Tools may assist with research and drafting, but a person remains responsible for checking sources, facts, context, wording and rights before publication. We do not intend to publish unchecked AI-generated articles or invented quotations.
Corrections and updates
If you find an error, email contact@eikya.in with the page URL and supporting detail. We intend to review credible corrections and mark material changes clearly. A developing-story update is different from correcting an error.
Independence and commercial content
If we introduce advertising or sponsored content, we will label it and keep it distinct from editorial reporting. We will disclose material conflicts of interest and will not sell favorable coverage.
